An exciting opportunity is immediately available in Paarl at a leading manufacturing Meat plant for a senior logistics & export co-ordinator:
The duties include:
• Completion of all shipping and export documents accurately & timeously.
• Full export function of sending containers out of SA
• Complete handling of the logistics of the containers from or to the cold stores to DC Meat Wholesalers and or customers
• Liasing with shipping agents & the cold store to ensure containers are removed from ports timeously
• Booking of transport
• Liasing with local Department of Agriculture to ensure goods are sampled and tested timeously
• Negotiate rates for transport
• Manage fleet of vehicles
1. Ensure vehicles are registered and licensed
2. Investigate traffic fines
3. Oversee Vehicle maintenance and service
4. Perform daily vehicle inspections
5. Report all faults to the CEO
6. Manage daily distribution routes
7. Ensure route sheets are strictly adhered too
8. Manage C-Track
9. Ensure safety standards are adhered too

Requirements: Matric, own reliable transport, minimum of 2 years logistics and export experience in the meat industry, ability to multi task and negotiate, ability to work under pressure and computer experience – an advantage if the candidate has knowledge of pastel evolution.
