A VACANCY EXISTS AT ROSSLYN PLANT 1 FOR 1 X LOGISTICS GROUP LEADER

Primary purpose of the job
To co-ordinate activities and functions of the logistics department to ensure optimal production output as per company requirement.

Key Performance Areas
To co-ordinate the logistics function to ensure that production targets are met
Ensure adequate resources are available to meet customer requirements.

Manage performance and development of sub-ordinates according to company procedures, works instructions and relevant legislation.
Co-ordinate the collection and reporting of logistics performance data to Logistics Manager
Ensure that work practices comply with the company SHE procedures and Works Instructions
Ability to develop logistics strategies and get involved in operational details when required

Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required
Grade 12 NQF 4 Level
Certificate in Business Logistics / Logistics Diploma
Inventory Control, ERP & MRP systems
Extensive experience in production/material planning

Minimum 5 years general logistics experience in a supervisory capacity ideally within the automotive environment
Extensive experience in warehouse & inventory management
Knowledge of quality specifications and systems
