Our client is looking for a competent, qualified and motivated person to fill the vacant position of Logistics Manager. This position is responsible for managing the business relationship between customers and third-party logistic providers. This person reports directly to the Sales Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management – B.Tech essential.

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years working experience in Logistics Management in the Automotive Industry. Experience with imports and exports of automotive components. Knowledge and understanding of custom regulations and procedures. Detailed understanding of OEM logistic requirements and procedures.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Overall responsibilty for all inbound and outbound logistics function. Point of contact for customers regarding any Logistic issues. Receive, analyse and input weekly customer releases. Ensure the latest cutomer requirements are included in the Production Plan (liasing with the Production Planner). Alert customers timeoulsy regarding any deviations to delivery schedule. Supervise the work of Logistics Specialist and finished goods warehouse.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Computer literacy essential. Good decision making skills. Organisational skills essential. Ability to work under pressure. Good communication and presentation skills when meeting external customers. Valid drivers licence.
