Our client is looking for a Project Manager to work within the Logistics department. The role will be based at the Centurion Distribution Centre in Johannesburg and will report to the Supply Chain Projects Manager

Job Objectives:

-To ensure effective and efficient customer service by identifying possible solutions through the interpretation of KPI's and root cause analysis.

-To provide insight into Best Practice and industry benchmarking, providing proof of concepts, business case and standardisation in terms of reducing costs and improving efficiency.

-To enable change by proactively developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships in order to implement sustainable solutions.

-To ensure that skills are embedded, by facilitating the assessment and training of people, particularly in relation to new initiatives.

-To follow a structured project management approach ensuring appropriate governance is in place to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications and Experience:

-Industrial Engineering Degree/ Equivalent qualification in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management

-1 to 3 years Logistics experience in either FMCG or a retail environment

-1 to 3 years Project management and evidence of successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
