An Engineering and Mining Giant is based in MIDDELBURG is looking for a seasoned (EE) Logistics Supervisor (Rail Services)

Purpose Of The Job

To supervise the Rail Services and rolling stock to ensure quality rail service in a safe manner.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience :
• N6 certificate for external candidates
• 5 years minimum relevant experience with minimum 1-2 years supervisor experience
• Computer Literacy (MS Office)

The following will be advantageous:
• SAP experience

Job Responsibilities :
• Manage and develop subordinates
• Control and coordinate all incoming and outgoing rail truck movements
• Plan divisional off loading and movement of rail trucks
• Schedule maintenance of locomotives
• Liaise with Transnet Freight Rail
• Ensuring conformance with quality and environmental standards
• Ensuring that OHSA safety and health standards are maintained
• Be prepared to work in a hot and dusty environment
• Perform standby duties
• Work overtime as and when required.
