A Healthcare Company who is passionate about providing Clinical Care to HIV positive adults, children and adolescents is currently looking for a dynamic and driven M&E Technical Officer Training and Teaching

The M&E portfolio supports capacity development, programme accountability, planning, service delivery strengthening, and generation of crucial evidence to improve programme implementation. To develop, lead and co-ordinate the M&E capacity building programme.

Education, Training and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a health related field (public health, science, research, etc.)
• Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) trained
• District Health Information System (DHIS) trained
• National Indicator Data Set (NIDS) trained
• Valid South African driver’s license
• A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience working with monitoring & evaluation systems in a public health settings
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Health Management Information Systems
• 2 years’ experience in training/capacity building on M&E systems
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
• Ability to develop data cleaning and storage systems and creating databases
• Experience with
• Experience in donor funded programmes
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Thorough, with good attention to detail
• Ordered and systematic, with a tendency to adhere to protocols
• Good administrative skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to travel

Key performance areas

• Lead and co-ordinate the data trainee programme
• Actively participate in training material development
• Identify training and skills needs of the M&E staff
• Train and mentor the M&E staff based on the identified training needs
• Identify M&E training needs of relevant DoH staff at the sub-district & district levels
• Train and mentor the facility and sub-district DoH staff based on the identified needs
• Support the roll out of National and Provincial M&E systems through training and mentoring staff
• Support the DoH for the proposed training activities in the district (including Tier and NIDS)
