Ensures that the machine building production processes in the factory is done in accordance with the production plans and ensures that the machine building process meets the required company quality standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Production:
• Liaises with the Project Team leader to clarify technical details and specifications of production from the Engineering Department.
• Ensures that approved parts are available before production commences.
• Build sub-assemblies/parts of machines according to specifications under the supervision of the Project Team leader.
• Ensures that waste of the production processes are minimised and production is done in a cost effective way.
• Does fault finding and technical testing of machines.
• Assists in the crating process of machines to prevent damages during transportation.
• Assists with maintenance on machines.
• Ensures that the working areas are cleaned and kept orderly.
• Assist with testing of machines.
• Perform site installations with installation team
• Assist in machine commissioning on site
• Assist in line performance testing and sign off
• Commissioning of small machines

Quality control:
• Responsible for quality inspections of manufactured machines and ensures that all machines meet the quality standards according to the production manufacturing checklist, before they are dispatched.
• Identifies non-conformances and report to Team leader.
• Identifies engineering change proposals and report to Team leader.
• Records all engineering changes and modifications daily on the reworks list.

Administration:
• Gives weekly feedback of the work-in-progress in production.
• Keeps record of job hours on a daily basis.
• Completes the packing lists of transport crates and checks that the contents of crates corresponds with the list.
• Ensures that the project-hand-over documentation of machines is completed after installation and commissioning.
• Completes all required information on the service books on return from clients.
• Return all unused and/or not required parts to the store.

• Quality control analysis – conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Troubleshooting – determines causes of operating errors and decides what to do about it.
• Problem sensitivity – ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum qualification: Qualified Fitter
• Minimum experience: At least one year experience in a manufacturing environment.
