Job Description

Fabricate CNC programs from ISO and SANS drawings
Troubleshoot, program and operate CNC lathes and mills as well as other machinery
Manage CNC activities
Improve processes to improve productivity
Maintain repair records for the workshop
Inspect all workshop assets and completed work/projects
Direct activities to be completed by workers according to schedule
See over the organization and safety of the machine shop at all times
Assist with programs and set up data through HMI machine panels
Predict any future orders
Report back to Management regularly
Manufacture components according to drawings
Always ensure quality standards are met
Minimize cost-impacts
Ensure legal requirements are adhered to
Follow FSSA rules
Ensure client satisfaction

Minimum Requirements

Trade Tested Machinist
Grade 12 Certificate
CNC Machining Certificate advantageous
Proficient in Mastercam and Solidworks
5 years’ exp in relevant industry in Managerial position
5S / Lean Six Sigma advantageous
Exp with conventional machines, planning, reporting and estimating
Repairs on machines
Able to read drawings
Must have a valid driver’s license
