Our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of DIY products, is seeking a qualified Electrician with wireman’s license.

Ideally reside within a 20 -30 km radius of Montague Gardens, Cape Town for standby purposes

Specific Duties:
• Perform required services (Clean & check brush motors) on the different machines in the factory.
• Do regular machine inspections throughout the factory.
• Do boiler start-up & shutdown as required by the factory.
• Manage the boiler, i.e.; monitor additive levels and organize services when required.
• Take full control of Generator.
• Manage power distribution throughout the factory and office block.
• Build & maintain control and/or safety circuits on the factory machines as specified in the OSHACT.
• Do machine changeovers as required by the factory.
• Maintain a high level of readiness of all auxiliary equipment throughout the factory.
• Maintain a functional workshop with the required levels of spares to maintain the factory.
• Perform all the associated duties as required from an electrician, i.e.: Breakdowns, standby and call-outs to the Company’s requirements as it pertain to safety, security and cleanliness.

Requirements:
• Matric & Electrical Qualification
• Wireman’s License essential and be able to issue COC’s
• Experience working in the manufacturing environment
• Have knowledge of packing machinery, conveyors, boilers, chillers etc.
• Own transport essential (Available to do occasional standby)
