In order for you to be considered for this role you need to be:
1. Residing in Cape Town and surrounds
2. NO application outside of the Western Cape will be considered !
3. Be of sober habits
4. Available for interviews with at least 3 days warning

Responsibilities:

1. Building of and installing new electrical systems
2. Maintaining and repairing installed electrical systems
3. Connection of motors and control switchgear
4. Maintaining service records of electrical equipment
5. Liaising with other departmental staff, supervisors and managers
6. Using APIPRO to plan, track and record tasks
7. Ensuring that all work will comply with regulations in the OHSA and the company policies and procedures
8. Request required materials for daily tasks and projects from the Electrical Manager
9. Ensure that your understand the 24/7 operational needs and facilitate production goals
10. Point to point IO checks on PLCs
11. Point to point IO checks on control and power systems
12. Participate in the RCM program
13. Read and use electrical diagrams
14. Ensure work standards are achieved
15. Ensure the effective use of resources

Position Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification – Electrical trade Test ESSENTIAL
• 8+ years of relevant working experience
• Able to work in a pressurized and demanding environment
• Must have your own reliable transport
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Good communication skills
• Work overtime and standby as required by the process demands
• Ability to perform within a team
