Our client in the automotive sector has vacancies for 2 Maintenance Engineers in their Paint Shop
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced employees to fill the above vacancy in the Technical Services department – Paint Shop.
THE POSITION ENTAILS:
- Key interface with Finance, OHSE, Plant Engineering and Production areas related to achievement of financial, environmental objectives such as energy, water, waste, CO2 and VOC’s.
- Supporting, conceptualizing and implementing the optimization of technical Production and Logistics processes in order to improve financial and environmental KPI’s.
- Staying up to date with technological advancements such as new energy generation concepts, alternative painting materials/processes in order to optimize VOC’s, waste to energy processes, etc.
- Knowledge transfer management between WOB and client for Think Blue Factory (TBF) action areas.
- Analysis of trends, statistics and managing of initiatives vs. targets in order to adjust strategic direction and ensure continuous improvements.
- Conducting TBF monthly reporting and annual target development as well as managing input for Think Blue Factory action areas in Group
- Ensuring quarterly group system inputs and facilitating benchmarking projects with group plants and drive initiatives for improvement
- Monitoring energy projects and managing bi-weekly energy team meetings.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD:
- Have a relevant Degree/ National Diploma in engineering or equivalent e.g. electrical, mechanical, mechatronics
- Have an understanding of the technical processes within Paint Shop processes in order to support and drive creation and implementation of new initiatives.
- Have 4-7 years’ relevant experience in an industrial/automotive environment
- Have proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Have sound knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Have sound technical knowledge of PLC, instrumentation, drive systems and experience in prevention and predictive maintenance
- Have sound knowledge of component and motor vehicle manufacturing processes
- Have the ability to communicate with all levels in the Company (written or verbal)
- Have good presentation skills
- Be computer literate in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Thinkcell and Access)
- Have initiative, be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Have a good attendance record
