PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To maintain plant, machinery and equipment with the aim of improving production output.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish possible cause of breakdowns through troubleshooting.
Identify the root cause of the failure and implement corrective action to repair the fault.
Support production and Process Technicians with trouble shooting and technical difficulties.
Carry out inspection on running machinery and equipment.
Carry out scheduled maintenance in conjunction with production planning.
Perform shutdown maintenance during non-operation periods.
Ensure machinery safe to work on during breakdown maintenance.
Ensure adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
Ensure that all breakdown job cards are completed.
Make recommendations to Engineering Department on process improvements.
Support the MDW programme by participation in problem solving workshops

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum N3 with a Fitter Trade Test Certificate.
Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment.
Experience working on furnaces, print screen machines and CNC machines advantageous.

Welding, cutting and grinding experience.
Working knowledge of pneumatics, robotics mechanics and electrics
