Responsible for the effective planned and unplanned maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment, including Boekenhout Farm and Feedlot, timeously and according to budget and specification.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12
• Diploma (Technical)
• +- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Excel
• Must have own transport
• Must live near Cullinan

Planned Maintenance
• Develop preventative maintenance schedule / plan for building, equipment, Farm and Feedlot.
• Manage and implement routine maintenance and servicing of buildings as well as Farm and Feedlot, including immovable structure / asset, according to schedule / plan.
• Manage and implement routine maintenance and servicing of all equipment to ensure preventative measures are adhered to according to manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure that all maintenance efforts are performed taking into consideration the general appearance of the facility and equipment.

Unplanned Maintenance (Breakdowns)
• Develop breakdown action plan for facility, all equipment, Farm and Feedlot.
• Action and manage breakdowns of facilities and equipment as and when required to ensure timeous repair.
• Ensure adequate and optimal stock on hand of all spare parts that might be required in breakdowns.
• Responsible for proper internal communication regarding breakdowns.

Project Management
• Conduct ad-hoc project management as and when required for facilities and equipment expansions.

Budget
• Compile accurate annual budget
• Manage budget with regard to planned/unplanned maintenance, all spare parts and staff compliment.

People Management
• Conduct workforce planning to ensure the team is suitably staffed to meet functional objectives taking into account various internal and external factors.
• Implement, drive and manage all people development initiatives linked to the HR Strategy including performance management, succession planning, talent management etc. to ensure the team’s performance meets the required standards.
• Set medium to long term goals and objectives for the relevant area of control and monitor progress against these.
• Plan, organise, lead and control subordinate's activities to ensure functional objectives are met or exceeded.
• Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive and performing working environment.

SHEQ
• Ensure acceptable personal hygiene of all staff at all times.
• Manage correct use of PPE at all times.
• Process and product hygiene standards maintained at all times.
• All duties are performed according to the company group Occupational Health & Safety guidelines and procedures.
