The candidate will be responsible for the management of maintenance for 4 plants, so some travelling to Gauteng and Durban is involved. 10 years’ experience in all aspects of maintenance and engineering plus proven Management experience, responsible for process implementation and process change. A qualified artisan/technician/engineer with either mechanical/electrical background. A dynamic individual who can effectively and efficiently run the department which consists of 1 x Supervisor, 8 technicians and 7 assistants across all 4 plants. Duties include but are not limited to Preventative/Predictive maintenance schedules, coordinate work orders and job cards, reduce maintenance breakdowns and downtime in production, schedule overtime if needed, training schedules, set-up tool maintenance schedules, ordering and monitoring spare parts, asset control, effective labour utilization, pro-active problem solving, plan shutdown activities and implement electrical and mechanical engineering principles and techniques.
