Our client in Paarl has got an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their ever growing business.

Requirements:

Strong Technical background, as well as a qualification in fitting and turning or electrical.

At least 5 years experience in a similar role and in managing a team.

Strong on maintaining a preventative maintenance system.

The successful candidate in this role must be able to be proactive and forward thinking.

The successful candidate must be strong on discipline. He must be able to delegate and follow up as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for scheduled repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

Manage maintenance activities on services to provide continuous supply of heat,cooling, steam, electric power, gas, air or water required for operations.

Ensure preventative maintenance programme is implemented and up to date at all times

Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.

Continuous inspection of operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards

Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and greater utilization of labour and materials.

Housekeeping of maintenance workshop and surrounding areas (inside and outside factory) are maintained at all times.

Staff Management.

Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds according to budget.

Market related salary on offer which is negotiable depending on experience and qualification.
