MAINTENANCE PLANNER, ERMELO, RNEG

GRADE 12 + TRADE MILLWRIGHT + 5 YEARS MAINTENANCE PLANNING IN MANUFACTURING CONCERN + EXP IN WOOD/ TIMBER / PLY WOOD INDUSTRY WOULD BE ADVANTANGE + EXP IN MS PROJECT ( HANDLING PROJECTS TOO) + VALID DRIVER’S LICENCE +OWN CAR + ABLE TO CONVERSE FLUENTLY IN AFRIKAANS.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Planned Maintenance
Attend planned maintenance meeting with Foreman of Press, Prep (Wet & Dry) and Sanding Line Departments. Process maintenance requests on computer and produce bar charts for distribution to relevant parties, including Foreman, Engineering Manager and production staff.

2. Processing of Job and Data Analysis
Responsible for processing of job cards including input of job cards on computer and ensuring information is available for inclusion in month – end report. Analyse data related to maintenance, general reports.

3. Control of Oil Samples
Ensure oil samples are taken on a regular basis. Processes paperwork for despatch of sample to outsourced laboratory for analysis. Take corrective action on critical problem areas, for example, waterlogged gear boxes, oil changes etc.

4. Downtime Analysis
In a daily basis record downtime analysis on computer from previous day’ shift report. Ensure this information is available for inclusion in Section Manager’s management reports.

5 TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
Responsible for recording all gaps identified as a result of tagging sessions.

6. Housekeeping
Generate a good housekeeping report on a monthly basis, having marked off on a check list, areas of observation, concerns, etc.

Qualifications & Experience

Matric/Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)

Computer Literacy: MS Office

MS Project

Some maintenance experience in engineering environment

Qualified Artisan/Millwright

Minimum Required

Verbal Communication – Good Communication skills required in dealing with Foreman at planned maintenance meetings

Planning & Organising – Ability to prioritise downtime, job cards and schedules.

Team Work & Co-operation – Has an orientation to co-operate within a team environment – works towards “bigger picture” of the Engineering team and the factory as a whole and takes instructions.

Problem Solving & Analysis – Ability to evaluate information and contribute decisions on maintenance and shutdowns.

Administrative Competence – Is logical and systematic in approach
