Maintenance Storeman – Permanent

Our client based in Belville in Cape Town, is looking for an Maintenance Storeman, preferably from the food industry

Qualifications
Grade 12
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
Drivers licence and a Forklift licence
Experience in FMCG- (Bakery experience will be an advantage)
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP ,Food Safety, SOP ,Pest Control and bakery operation

Tasks
Follow Health and Safety procedures
Operated a forklift to offload materials
Organising of spare parts in the Storeroom
Ensure store remains clean and tidy at all times
Maintain and monitor stock levels - especially critical spare parts; request and submit quotes accordingly
Regular monitoring of consumables and requesting quotes for consumables
Request quotes and present to Plant Engineer for approval
Place orders and do follow-ups
Receiving of deliveries
Finalise/gather necessary paperwork (Delivery Notes; Job Cards; Invoices; GRV)
Submission of paperwork to Finance Department
Sending of spares to suppliers for repairs
SAP receiving
Maintain and monitor stock levels in the flammable storeroom
Ensure the flammable storeroom is clean and tidy at all times
Do stock counts
Collect urgent orders with the company vehicle

Work effectively in a maintenance environment
Good English communication skills (both written and oral).
Computer Literacy
Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills

Systems and Working Conditions
Able to stand for up to 12 hours, while working with and around machinery
Ability to work in a plant environment for extended periods of time (high temperature/high humidity environment)
Ability to work in a maintenance workshop environment for extended periods of time (high noise)
Work rotating shifts as well as weekends and public holidays in a fresh bakery environment.
Required bakery and maintenance workshop PPE to be worn
