MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Automation). UITENHAGE (6x months contract). Our client in the Automotive Industry is urgently requiring candidates, who have a minimum of 3 years’ automation / maintenance experience; and who has extensive knowledge of AC and DC electronic control speed drives. National Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (light current) and/or B.Eng. Mechatronics is ESSENTIAL to apply. Candidates must possess knowledge of SEW drives. Candidates must be au fait with updating and modifying existing equipment with the latest technology. Must be able to install and change IP addresses, modify and analyse any deviation of machine performance. Must have knowledge of Siemens Serv 1 and 2, Profibus, Profisafe, Profinet and Programming knowledge would be highly advantageous. Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends and additional hours if required. Must have contactable references.
