RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN for a national company – position based in East London (Eastern Cape).

PERSON MUST RESIDE IN THE EAST LONDON AREA AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY!

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Technical N5/N6 qualification.
Trade tested Millwright / Electrician.
Certificate in Maintenance and management an added advantage.
Computer literacy (MS Office, Email / Internet).
5yrs+ related experience in managing artisans.
5yrs+ related experience as Millwright /Electrician on injection moulders.
3yrs+ experience in a production environment with unionised workforce.
Manage subordinates performance and training according to KPA’s.
Management of complete factory-mould and assembly plants and engineering workshop.
Management of all new mechanical and electrical projects and co-ordinate resource allocations for mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
Advise and make recommendations to minimize the number of breakdowns and provide solutions to unresolved breakdowns.
Formulate the maintenance preventative and predictive maintenance system and operating systems.
Assist in ensuring quality standards are adhered to through planned preventative maintenance.
Generate ideas and assist with modifications to support the company’s wide objectives to improve efficiencies.
Management of high voltage equipment from the incoming council supply circuits.
Manage and control sub-contractors for maintenance or alterations to machines, facilities and buildings.
Effectively manage health and safety measures and promote environmental awareness within the department.
