I am now in search of an excellent Maitre'd for this 5 star award winning Restaurant in the Winelands. I'm looking for a candidate with formal Restaurant training, and somebody with excellent South African wine knowledge. Candidates must have their own transport and be able to work shifts.This is a great opportunity for somebody who has completed their in-service training and is passionate about Food and Beverage, with excellent 'floor skills' and fine dining experience.Job Specs for the Maitred are as follow:The Shifts for this position will be as follow: 07h00 to 15h00 or 14h00 till 23h00. We are looking for candidates with that is willing to go the extra mile and has experience in doing that.Duties will be as follow:Overlooking restaurant service and standards during operating hours.Assisting with staff needs.Delegating and supervising preparations for service.Assisting with food and wine service.Handling guest complaints.Issuing minibar to each lodge on a daily basis.Ordering and receiving of stock.Conducting operational equipment stock take.Monthly Stock take.Monthly Stock input.Completing sales reports on food and wine each month.Stock price adjustments on systemSelling price adjustments according to increases and new wine.Wine list.Staff uniforms.Disciplinary hearings in relation to the companies code of conduct and standards.Creating and maintaining a schedule for 14 staff on a weekly basis.Coordinating functions within the restaurant.If this sounds like an opportunity you would love to embrace and you have the necessary skills and experience we would love to hear from you.
