• GRADE 12
• FORMAL DIPLOMA / QUALIFCATION IN WAREHOUSING/ PURCHASING OR LOGISTICS
• MIN 5 YEARS EXP IN RETAIL ENVIRONMENT OF STEEL AND / OR FLUID CONTROL PRODUCTS
• MIN 5 YEARS EXP IN WAREHOUSING AND DISTRIBUTION.
• EXP ON ERP SYSTEMS WOULD BE ADVANTAGE (SYSPRO)
• ABLE TO WORK LONG RETAILHOURS (MON – FRIDAY AND ALTERNATIVE SATURDAYS.
• REPORTS TO WAREHOUSE MANAGER
• EXP IN FLEET CONTROL
• SUPERVISION OF WAREHOUSE PERSONNEL EXPERIENCE

Key Purpose: To assist in the management and operation of the warehouse and all associated activities with the aim of generating sales by maintaining outstanding customer service. To ensure that the warehouse area is safe, clean and well organised. In addition, the job holder will assist in the management and supervision of staff and ensure effective management of all warehouse activities
Key Tasks
1. To run the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
2. To support the Warehouse Manager and retail shop regarding collections from suppliers and deliveries to all customers as efficiently and effectively as possible.
3. Assist in route-planning of feasible deliveries.
4. Load products onto vehicles for delivery, ensure the safe-handling of all products during picking, loading, discharging and stocking to avoid any damages.
5. Accurately pick, load and deliver products to customers in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
6. Maintain inventory control systems, inform Buyer or any stock shortages
7. Assist in the preparation of stock takes.
8. To support the Warehouse Manager on all aspects of Housekeeping ensuring these are carried out to the highest standards. This should include the shelving of steel and Fluid Control items and the completion of all necessary paperwork.
9. Ensure that goods are stored in their proper locations
10. To support the Warehouse Manager in relation to the management of all company vehicles this include daily vehicle checks and record keeping of all services to be done on time.
11. To ensure that any customers who come into the warehouse have a positive customer experience and make every effort to build a repeat customer base.
12. To meet and greet customers as they enter the warehouse and to ensure that other staff also greet customers and understand the importance of customer service.
13. To manage staff in the absence of the Warehouse Manager and to ensure high standards of supervision and customer service.
14. To assist in staff training. This includes having an understanding and background to the work standard of the CLIENT as well as any legal responsibilities such as Health and Safety, Sale of Goods Act, Trading Standards Regulations and training around warehouse security.
15. To open and close the warehouse according to a rotating roster, and act as a main key holder and ensure that others holding keys adhere to procedures.
16. Adhere to all policies and procedures that to the warehouse and this position.
