Management Accountant

Our client in the agricultural industry requires the service of a skilled Management Accountant.

Key performance areas:

? The production of management accounts with performance insights (balance sheet, income statement and KPI report)
? Third party grower administration (contracts, regulatory registers implementation and maintenance, payments, calculations, forecasts, benchmarking)
? Grower main contact point in finance and administration
? Export system ownership (incl. administration/maintenance/improvements)
? Group royalty calculations, reporting and administration in line with contractual obligations
? Coordination and preparation of annual budget
? Assist with the creation and implementation of best practice to drive efficiency and decision making
? Compliance and risk – insurance of fruit, exchange control administration
? Other compliance related tasks (export / exchange control)
? Annual audit assistance
? Other ad hoc finance and operational related tasks

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a relevant Degree with SAIPA/CA/AGA/ACMA/CGMA accreditation
? 4 Years relevant experience in a similar role
? Experience in Agriculture/horticulture industry will be advantageous
? Excellent computer literacy (Excel – advanced)
? Knowledge of MS Navision, Paltrack/Palbroker will be advantageous
? Project management experience, including change management
? Sound understanding of accounting principles
? Excellent mathematical and analysis skills
? Proven ability to analyse and interpret large datasets
? Proven track record working with various foreign currencies
? IT savvy and systems orientated
? Embraces and supports change processes
? Confident, self-starter able to act on own initiative
? Positive mind-set, good personal skills and good time management skills
? Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and working towards tight deadlines
? Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and logical thinking ability
