Are you an ambitious, energetic self-starter who has a demonstrable track record of excellent financial accounting? An operational finance role exists to drive the functional budget, forecasting and actual reporting for a household name in the FMCG industry. The successful incumbent will act as interface with the Logistics & Planning Executive and senior team to ensure integrated financial department support to the business. Driving the monthly reporting results (Logistics) through analysis of actual results and variances versus Budget and Previous year.

Qualification:
An Accounting Degree preferably with Honors or post graduate qualification.

Skills & Experience:
Experience in a FMCG environment
JD Edwards or SAP an advantage
Knowledge of BPCS System or similar ERP System and Reporting Tools
3 - 5 years post qualification experience in a financial function.
Knowledge of a standard costing system (preferably BPCS) and understanding of profitability analysis
Collaborative Management style

Job Description:
The purpose of the role is to provide financial support to the business, within the specific function (Logistics & Planning), through the relevant analysis of information using insight and judgment. The end result is to drive the business objectives while supporting improved quality decision making.
Improving the reporting processes and services through simplification and developing key relationships
Ensuring that effective internal control procedures are in place and maintained within area of responsibility
Participating in various business meetings to provide assistance/guidance within area
Ensuring that the area of control complies with all accounting and tax requirements and ad hoc financial simulations.
There will be some travel required to Johannesburg and Durban
