The successful candidate will be offered a permanent role as the company’s Management Accountant. Such duties will be used in numerous units of the company. The Management Accountant will be assisting the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager across performance and optimization of projects.



Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)

CIMA or similar (preferable)

Will consider part qualified / studying towards, with Management Accounting experience if above qualification is not obtained



Skills & Experience:

2 years or more Management Accounting experience

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

SAP and HFM experience (preferable)

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Proactive

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to communicate effectively, particularly with Senior Management across sales, marketing and editorial

Accurate and meticulous

Good team player



Job Description:

Prepare the monthly rolling forecasts across business units.

Prepare business unit’s monthly management reporting packs, with a focus on: Reporting actuals against rolling forecast and budget, with detailed commentary; Monthly variance analysis; Performance based metrics; Update metric data, sales information, forecast and head count.

Work with Financial Control team to ensure monthly actuals and accruals are booked timely.

Operate as a strategic link between the business unit leader and finance.

Preparation of annual budget and F1 and F2 head office forecast submission.

Preparation of Management pack.

Ad hoc analysis focused around optimization and performance within the business.

Prepare the following monthly journals:

Sales and Cost of sales journals.

Commission calculations and journal.

Accruals.

Inter-company recharges.
