Management accountant

Candidates for this role should be in possession of a Honours Degree with Accounting and Finance as majors. They will also consider CIMA Graduates who have passed level 4 examinations.
In order to qualify for this role, candidates should have at least 5-7 year's post-qualifying experience in large organisations. Such experience should include:
* Management Accounting, Budgeting and Planning
* Monthly reporting including variance analysis
* A deep understanding of computerised systems, including the defining & writing of relevant reports
* The development of structures, systems and processes to ensure timeous and accurate delivery of reports to a demanding client base
* Working with and maintaining the GL structures
* An ability to manage and drive change within an organisation - particularly as such change relates to implementing new structures, systems and procedures

Candidates for this role should ideally have:
* An understanding of the Companies Act - particularly as it applies to tertiary institutions
* In depth knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards
* Excellent people management skills, Good communication skills - both verbal and written
* An ability to think strategically, a strong customer service ethic
* An ability to work independently, a very strong quality orientation
* An ability to multi-task in a demanding environment
