Our client requires the service of a Management Accountant responsible for delivering accurate, timely and complete financial and management accounts and providing financial support and liaise with non-financial project managers and department heads.

Key performance areas:

? Prepare accurate and timely financial and management accounts
? Prepare variance analysis reports for management, ensure all variances are understood and corrective action is taken.
? Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and correction of imbalances found to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
? Provide support and guidance to AP & AR clerks
? Debt collection
? Timely preparation of information to support VAT returns
? Assist with preparing departmental budgets
? Assist with external audit including but not limited to prepare audit work papers and liaising with auditors, dealing with queries.
? Ensure the continuous improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of all month end processes
? Identify any capital expenditure in line with fixed asset policy and ensure correct accounting treatment thereof
? Provide financial assistance to operational managers in their decision making processes
? Contribute to the implementation of new financial systems and processes
? Prepare monthly payroll schedule
? Review weekly supplier payment
? Active involvement in projects related to the design of new reports and system enhancements

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with CIMA or CA, or Bachelor degree/Advanced Diploma in Accounting qualified by experience
? Minimum 5 years commercial experience in similar position
? Experience in management accounting in a multi-currency environment
? SaaS or e-commerce industry experience beneficial
? Must have excellent computer literacy (Advanced Microsoft Excel skills)
? Good written & verbal communication skills
? Excellent system and accounting software user skills
? Exceptional numeric ability with strong financial, analytical and organizational skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
