Kendrick Recruitment are currently looking for a management couple for a brand new game lodge in the Elands Valley, 70 km from Nelspruit. The lodge is small (9 rooms) and will be of a 4 star level. The couple will manage the 6 staff members currently employed, which will increase in the future. The successful candidates will oversee all aspects of the lodge from the smallest items such as general maintenance to hosting and dealing with guests.Requirements:2 years minimum 4 star hospitality management experience including experience with foreignersFluent in EnglishAble to work with and manage staffValid driver’s licence and own vehicle (for private use)Honest, sober habits, self-initiative, reliableAbility to work independentlyResponsibility to look after company vehicles and propertyGood referencesExperience in maintenance and/or guiding will be a benefitAbility to work closely with senior managementTimeous submissions of progress reports, staff reports etcBeing flexible to work wherever necessary until more staff are hiredHosting dutiesExperience on HTI booking system will be advantageousFlexible to working conditions and hoursComfortable living in remote locationResponsibilities:Overseeing all responsibilities of the lodgeManagement of staff – labourers, guides, cleaners, reception etcOverseeing of upkeep of rooms, lodge, gardens, swimming pool, meals, irrigation etcOverseeing of general game, fencing, vehicles etc until further staff are hired (IE: maintenance, field guides)Package includes:R 20 000.00 combined salaryHousing – 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom houseCompany vehicle to be used for company purposes onlyTo apply please forward your CV’s, recent photos and any written references as soon as possible.
