Successful candidate will be responsible to develop and implement best practices and requirements to improve overall quality of IT software development and that meet business objectives

Responsibilities include:-

• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions by resolving queries fast end effective
• Manage percentage reduction of IT cost by increasing effectiveness and reducing cost against business income
• Manage agreed IT projects to ensure successful implementation within agreed timelines and ensure effectiveness of projects by investigating the integrated nature of the project, requirements must be distributed to all affected Business units in order that they prioritise the project.
• Drive business profitability in the context of cost management through Information technology solutions
• Establish, align and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency
• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members by providing input to business requirements
• Mange the reduction of hours of unplanned downtime of the team caused by faulty applications incidents
• Manage installation of planned system solutions and changes against required Team System Application Plan

• Translate Business Strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant IT projects / IT initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress
• Comply, understand and implement all steps within IT development and meet governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
• Control the overall management of application releases (tasks. Assignments, delivery, timeframes and problem fixtures) by the team
• Control the maintenance and the changes in application software systems, as and when required by business, to reduce the number of production problems caused by downtime
• Communicate accurately on IT Application implementation and Project status in all appropriate meetings as well as on the CEO report
• Support best practice and innovation in the operational model through critical assessment of its workings and challenge its design assumptions.
• Analyse and develop business improvements based on data analysed, data collected, reviewed, and incorporate all internal and external benchmarking data into IT project planning.
• Manage own development to increase own competencies
• Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Certification / Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 8 - 10 years related experience of which 4 years are in leading a technical architectural or governance team
