Our client, a leading Gold & Platinum Mining Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Finance Manager for their Gold Operation at their Regional Office in Libanon near Westonaria.

The appointee should:
Possess a B.Com degreed in accounting
Have strong planning and analytical skills
Have solid experience in shaft and metplants financial management
Have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners and the regional/group executive team
Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Be self-motivated and be able to work within a team environment
Be computer literate in Microsoft Office
Have at least a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate mining sector understanding the full financial value chain
Be competent in management, financial and administration matters
Have experience in presenting financial results to the regional exco and other senior management
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

Key responsibilities include:
Prepare and coordinate shafts and metplants financial matters for the business in accordance to the strategic and budget plans;
Undertake financial administration and internal audits on SOX and other compliance in relation to the agreed and approved business plans;
Liaise with Business Units Management and financial teams in the execution and control of operational and business costs;
Supervise and performance manage a team of accounting specialists in different areas to coordinate cost and expenditure for their specific area of control;
Co-develop and manage financial policies, procedures and system with other financial peers;
Execute a controlling function in the review of financial elements for the business, including major projects;
Forecast the income and expenditure of the business and business units/departments in line with their specific business plans;
Assist with the financial strategy in generating shareholder value;
Manage the maintenance of financial systems by ensuring SOX compliance, monitoring costs and providing the business with recommendations and statements in order to achieve financial targets;
Structure the financial business stream in order to comply to business requirements, expertly resourced and performance managed in alignment to business plans;
Provide financial expertise to decision makers in form of analyses, scenarios, recommendations in support of the strategic direction and positioning of financial improvements/plans;
Represent the financial function in long term strategy formulation, discussing business financial concerns, providing solutions based on financial expertise and best practices in the mining sector;
Effective business communication to internal and external Stakeholders to achieve business objectives and aligned financial support;
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for business reviews, providing guidance in the feedback sessions to ensure compliance to financial targets;
Financial control and governance in line with Group standards and local statutory requirements;
Deliver an effective and efficient finance management accounting function, through sharing of best practice, alignment with Group priorities and engagement with customers;
Contribute to the development of the overall finance strategy of Sibanye SA region;
Develop and manage relationships with internal and external key stakeholders on matters related to financial responsibilities;
Supervise internal accounting and issue identification and resolution;
Participate in other business projects as required;
Support the business in guidance of financial matters as required outlining solutions in mitigating risks
