VACANCY REFERENCE: INV/LEGAL/CENT


Our client is a functioning Regulatory Council. They are looking for a Junior Manager to take responsibility for the Legal Investigations section within the Council. The successful candidate must have a legal degree and at least 10 years experience in an investigative and prosecutorial environment.


The successful candidate will be responsible for, including but not limited to:
• Processing of complaints relating to registered and unregistered professionals
• Investigation of transgressions
• Supervision of Inspectors
• Provide support to the Investigations Committee
• Compile agendas and minutes for Investigations Committee meetings
• Drafting of subpoenas and charge sheets
• Oversee and arrange inquiries (including scheduling, travel, venue, accommodation, etc.)
• Supervision of the day-to-day activities of subordinates
• Report writing
• Work experience in the regulatory council industry or similar will be an advantage but is not a critical requirement

• Completed relevant legal qualification (university degree)
• At least 10 years experience in an investigative and prosecutorial environment
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in fluent English
• Proven ability to translate technical knowledge into practice (comprehension & analysis of what is required to achieve the desired result)
• Proven Information Analysis and Investigative skills
• Excellent research ability
• Must be able to interact on all levels
• Must have proven report writing skills

Remuneration package: R20,000 to R30,000 ctc per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
