Our client, a leading Gold & Platinum Mining Group is looking for an experienced and qualified person to take up the position of Manager Strategic Enterprise Development at their Supply Chain Department near Westonaria.

The appointee should:

Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent.
Have at least 5 – 8 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role, of which 3 should have been experience in a similar functional management role.
Have at least 4 years people management experience.
Possess excellent knowledge of MPRDA, PPPFA, B-BBEE, and other applicable legislation relevant to mining, Supply Chain and Procurement in particular Enterprise and Supplier Development.
Establish and maintain dialogue with host mining communities regarding local and regional supply chain opportunities (e.g. enterprise development, supplier development, etc.).
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

Advantageous requirements:

Post graduate qualification in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development will be advantageous or a closely related field

Key responsibilities include:

Align ESD strategy to the corporate’s vision and strategic direction with focus on B-BBEE strategy and/or the company’s overall transformation agenda.
Implement ESD strategy in accordance with Sibanye Stillwater’s Transformation Framework, MPRDA Act and BBBEE codes and RSA government transformation imperatives.
Ensure increase in BEE spend by promoting and empowering SMME companies in the organisation’s procurement.
Drive and influence transformation of large non-compliant companies (BEE, Joint Ventures, Partnerships or unbundling of contracts).
Establishing an empowerment Fund supporting ESD activities.
Establish and manage Sibanye-Stillwater’s Business Engagement Centres to provide SMMEs with business development support in a coordinated manner through a “one-stop” service.
Establish and manage Incubation Programmes across Sibanye-Stillwater’s operations; and develop and promote budding entrepreneurs and enterprises in our mining communities.
Implement enterprise and supplier development initiatives, workshops and awareness programmes for emerging suppliers.
Manage the ESD budget and allocate a section in terms of the Business Engagement Centres (BECs), Incubation Programs, staffing and other resources.
Advisory role to the business in the transformation of SMMEs and EDS development.
Support the business and various others functions by aligning overall transformation (EDS) plans in respect of commodity-specific initiatives.
