Required:
A degree or advanced diploma in light current engineering, telecommunications or a related field.
At least ten years experience in a telecoms or IT environment. At least three years experience in leading or managing technical task teams.
An experienced technologist with operational, planning and problem solving abilities. Lateral thinking and general systems-interconnectivity knowledge a must. Experience and comprehension of telecommunications and IT networks and techniques, TMN (Telecommunication Management Networks) philosophy and industry practice is advantageous. Process engineering and project management skills required.
Good knowledge of GSM fundamentals, GSM core network elements (MSC, HLR/AUC/EIR, STP), GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, WIG, SIM, IVR, IN, LBS, MMS, SMS, IBS, SASN, EMM, Charging Systems
Good knowledge of 3G technologies, 3G solutions of existing suppliers, integration of network systems
Detailed IP knowledge (Routing, switching, VLANS and SNMP)
Detailed understanding of Erlang, C, C++, Java (Core java SDK and J2EE (servlets, JSP, JSF, Web services, JMS etc)), PERL,
Good system administration skills on Unix and Windows 2000/3 and Oracle RDBMS skills
Detailed understanding of PHP, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting and XML
Good understanding of Office support tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook & MS Project)
