Description
One of South Africa's leading supplier of highly specialized, heavy duty workwear to the mining, energy and petroleum industries and even into some of South Africa’s largest retail stores. Export countries include Africa, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Purpose of the position:
To grow the business in line with the current business strategy.
Capitalize and grow on existing market and customer base through promoting the value proposition in place.
Develop and enter new markets that have better return on investments.
Stabilize the business and introduce process management.

Key Performance Areas:
Financial Performance – EBIDTA; Working capital management and Growth.
Brand Development – development and execution of the marketing and branding strategy
Customer Satisfaction – Delivery of the value proposition.
Human Capital – Gross profit per unit of employment cost; performance management; employee wellness;
Strategic Priorities – Achieving agreed milestones of strategic projects.

Minimum Requirements:
Post Graduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or Economics.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience at an Executive management level. Knowledge of the textile manufacture and personal protective equipment (PPE) sectors would be highly advantageous
Highly developed sales strategy and execution experience both in Africa and foreign markets
Advanced computer literacy allowing the candidate a high level of proficiency in the following: Excel; financial / business models; Presentation skills (Powerpoint).
Ability to formulate and conclude successful business transactions.
Experience in strategy formulation and new business development.
Excellent communication and networking skills.
Entrepreneurial flair coupled with pro-active management proficiency.
Highest level of integrity and judgement.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team management.


Job Specification:

A). Sales Strategy and Growth
Building a high caliber force to execute the strategy and achieve results in both turnover and margin
Together with the team, prepare and finalize a sales strategy which would achieves both turnover and margin growth in both existing and new customers and new market sectors;
Vigorously monitor results against capital investment and adjust course of action accordingly;
Discuss with the board of directors on strategic opportunities
Active management of the marketing strategy in conjunction with the team

B). Strategic Management and Reporting
Coordinate the setting of strategy and business plans.
Lead and execute long and short term business objectives.
Lead and mentor the senior management team.
Drive Company performance and provide feedback to the EXCO and board.

C). Risk Management
Manage all assets and infrastructure.
Liaise with clients and key stakeholders.
Conduct EXCO meetings and communicate strategies.
Manage Company communication structures.
Maintaining quality control systems.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements to maintain and improve policies, procedures and standards.
Manage the internal audit framework.

D). Operational Management
Development of operational strategies for all areas of the entity – Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Quality, HR and Logistics.
Ensure department heads are fully informed of their operational objectives and review departments/divisions performance against such objectives.
Manage and measure progress in new business development (existing customer stream and new market segments)
Monitor market changes and act decisively to mitigate risks against turnover and profit margins.
Manage client relations and reputational status of company.

E). Human Capital
Manage the performance management system to attain a high performance working culture.
Employee development and succession planning
Development of a high level executive management team
Creating a conducive environment for employee satisfaction to deliver against objectives.
Development of a highly capable sales team to comfortably achieve targets.


F). Financial Management
Ensure sound financial operating procedures are adhered to.
Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets in the respective divisions.
Involved with budget management and reporting to a board level.
Analyse financial position of company with desired recommendations, corrective action or pro-active management.
Ensure that the working capital parameters are satisfied.

G). Strategic Projects
Progress against the cost reduction and recovery programme.
Identification, development and execution of a new market segment.
