Leading Manufacturing Company looking to appoint a Technologist.
Matric.
Degree - within the Engineering field essential (Industrial or Chemical).
Qualified Greenbelt or equivalent a MUST! (Qualified Black belt will be considered).
Min. 3 years experience in the Chemical Industry required.
Knowledge of SAP system.
Knowledge of ink/dye chemistry an advantage.
Knowledge of production and processes.
Ink/dye formulation experience required.
Excellent Computer skills - MS Office.
Able to use a Minitab or equivalent.
Duties include the following:
- Provide Industrial Engineering assistance to the site, day to day Production activities
- Act as the primary link between Production and the Engineering/Project Teams
- Monitor and analyze the in process/product test results including Right First Times and process capabilities
- Identify problematic product formulations and liaise with the Technical department on any potential formulation or process changes
- Manage the Production trial system to ensure that trials are carried out effectively and efficiently and trail records are documented
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose potential solutions
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are maintained in order to optimize the production
- Responsible for carrying out any required training on in process or equipment testing
*Please note travel on a National basis is required.
