You will:
Ensure that vessels are safely and effectively fully operational in accordance with SAMSA and other Maritime Regulations and Company Policies.
Do vessel repairs and maintenance.
Operation and watch keeping.
Ensure that all documentation for every voyage as per SAMSA & Company requirements is in order and handed over at the docking emeting to the relevant manager.
Ensure that engine room staff complies with safety and emergency procedures and good housekeeping practices.
Ensure that the correct grades and quantities of fuel and lubrication oils are confirmed before loading, and that the correct tanks are identified before bunkering.
Ensure that operation of machinery does not infringe on any International, South African or Company regulations regarding protection of Marine Environment.

You must have:
Marine Motorman Grade 1.
Relevant experience of at least 5 years.
Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills.
