Our client in leading South African Brand has an opportunity for a Chief Engineer.

You will:
Ensure fully operational vessels operating safely and effectively in accordance with SAMSA and other related Maritime Regulations and company policies.
Do vessel repairs and maintenance.
Operation and watch keeping.
Ensure that all documentation for every voyage as per SAMSA & Company requirements is in order and handed over at the docking Meeting to the relevant manager.
Ensure that engine room staff complies with safety and emergency procedures and good housekeeping practices.
Ensure that the correct grades and quantities of fuel and lubrication oils are confirmed before loading, and that the correct tanks are identified before bunkering.
Ensure that operation of machinery does not infringe on any International, South African or Company regulations regarding protection of Marine Environment.

Requirements :
Motorman Higher Grade
All relevant auxiliary documents (sea-going documents)
5 to 7 years working experience
