Our client in Centurion, Pretoria is looking for an experienced Technical Marketing Engineer.

Qualifications Required:

Electrical Engineering Degree or National Diploma in light current.

Good computer skills and a working knowledge of applications relevant to the position

 

Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience as Technical Marketing Engineer or experience in customer support (Support Engineer, Internal Sales, Professional Services, and a desire to move into marketing) or 3 years of experience in defining, analyzing, or conducting market, customer or similar research in a high-tech company in the electronics industry.

Key Performance Areas:

Promote the company’s brand through consistent marketing messaging.

Collect and maintain competitive information on local competitors

Regularly provide updates on the market competition analysis and knowledge to the sales and service departments.

Develop detailed knowledge of the solutions offered in order to identify target market opportunities and execute marketing campaigns to grow market share. Analyze existing and potential markets to identify and secure business development opportunities.

Monitor industry market trends and key trends occurring in the industry.

Ensure compliance with sound technical marketing practices.

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, press and company staff.

Adapt and localise customer facing marketing materials.

Localise new product launches as applicable to the addressable market.

Create effective technical marketing assets and content including: web content, blog posts, customer case studies. Ensure external web pages are kept up to date. Create or localise print advertising, web content, and press releases.

Conduct and measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies using provided tools

Utilize tools provided to manage and track effectiveness of lead generation

Liaise with sales to internalize feedback from the field and incorporate it into ongoing marketing programs.

 

Other requirements:

Must have valid driver’s license, passport and own suitable and reliable transport.

Must be willing to travel locally and internationally for training, conferences and customer visits.
