Marketing and Communication Officer x2
(Senior and Junior)
Area: Pretoria East
Salary (Junior): up to R14 000 CTC
Salary (Senior): up to R18 000 CTC
Age: 20s

In this role you will have a key position in the IMC team and will be expected to take the initiative and pilot the development and implementation of creative marketing strategies and campaigns across all media. It is a varied and challenging role and will require you to take the lead as the marketer for multiple brands in the Group. You are passionate about your profession and confident that you are the person to truly execute and
make things happen.

Requirements:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing / Communication or similar
• At least 2 years active experience in a marketing and communication role with experience in digital marketing and social media
• A solid understanding of marketing campaign management
• The ability to handle multiple tasks and run multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment, with a great attention to detail.
• A proven track record achieving targets
• Passionate, energetic, confident, optimistic and extraordinarily creative
• A strong understanding of the principles of reputation management in the digital space
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Must be first language English
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Responsibilities:
The main purpose of this position is to create, execute and oversee successful marketing strategy for a specific portfolio of Brands to achieve desired targets.
• Ascertain overall goals and objectives per brand
• Research and analyse target market/s
• Creation, development and management of effective marketing and communication plans in support of the overall strategy in response to the overall objectives per brand
• Creation, development and management of effective marketing and communication plans that will give our brands the competitive edge
• Oversee the development and execution of social media strategy across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google + and other relevant social media platforms
• Analysing and reporting campaigns based on the expected objectives
• Managing and oversee relevant budgets, ensuring campaigns/suppliers are delivering on time and within budget.
• Ensuring campaigns are reaching or exceeding clients expectations regarding performance
• Strategically manage and support all facets of communication internally and externally for all campaigns
• Make budget and strategy recommendations to manager
• Event coordination and execution (conceptualising events, oversee plans and budgets, liaison with suppliers)
• Prepare monthly marketing reports
• Oversee and generate briefs to the design team
• Oversee and generates briefs to the content writer
• Approve creative work
• Attend to queries/complaints that are escalated to this level
• Ensure cooperation, synergy and effective communication between the IMC team and other departments within the Company
• Pursue relevant strategic alliances
• Ensure that marketing, communication and social media and digital platform related policies and procedures are compiled, implemented and maintained
• Ensure relevant role-players are educated/liaised with to ensure the incorporation of relevant marketing, communication and social media techniques into the corporate culture and into relevant company products, services and business activities
• Ensure effective benchmarks are identified, monitored and utilized to measure the impact of overall marketing efforts
