Job Summary
A successful training company in Randburg is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager.
Oversee all marketing and advertising activities for events and branding of the company as a whole.
Responsibilities and Duties
The candidate must have:
• DUTIES INCLUDE
• Branding and advertising of all conferences hosted by the Company through different mediums, including – but not limited to: Magazines, Internet, E-mail, Television, Radio, Barter agreements.
• Create marketing campaigns and cost-effectively market Company programs produced to all clients on Database(s) and Research list(s).
• Proof reading and editing all press releases after receiving from Project Manager. Following up with the media to ensure and secure coverage and interviews for clients,
• this also includes working towards defined targets and/or deliverables specifically with regards to timelines and desktop (Pre-event marketing).
• Registering at least 40 delegates for large scale events (over 80 delegates) PD’s register at least 25 delegates for all other events below 80 PDS. Register at least 5 new delegates per conference.
• Measure and provide reports on marketing efforts for all conferences after the conference – ROI.
• Responsible to ensure post coverage press release for large scale events.
• Attending events with media investment, packing and sending media packs and/or –gifts and/or –hampers where applicable.
• Develop and send marketing proposals to the Company’s online, supporting and media partners.
• Negotiate and offer barter deals to the different media publications and in exchange receive free advertising in order to meet the criteria of cost-effective marketing.
• Provide status reports to Conference Director & Managing Director on a monthly basis.
• Sourcing tips and guest writers for the Company website and assist with the developing of the content for our Women’s and Company website
• Compiling and maintaining an accurate and updated client data base.
• Developing and implementing an annual Marketing Strategy for the Company on/before the end of November each year for the upcoming year.
• Developing and implement a comprehensive marketing plan per event and provide timeline at deadline date.
• Comprehensive competitor monitoring.
• Sourcing exhibition platforms (at least one per year).
• Event listings.
