Basic salary of approx. R250-350k per annum depending on experience

Our client in the Civil Construction Industry is looking for a young, vibrant and highly motivated, innovative, sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have construction related experience in a civil environment. This person will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing relationships with clients. Female gender preferred.


Experience and Qualifications
• 5 years sales management experience preferably in a Construction sector.
• High understanding of concrete technologies, construction industry (project)
• B-Com Management degree or equivalent, MBA will be an added advantage


Key Duties
• Identify new markets and develop business opportunities
• The person must call on new and existing clients and represent our company
• Identifies business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Gather market intelligence to assist the business in formulating strategies. Must be able to manage a database and keep track of contracts that will be coming out to tender.

Skills
• Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills and a great ability to clearly and effectively present complex information.
• Identify potential clients and build relationships at highest possible corporate level.
• Contribute to annual marketing and sales planning process.
• Commit to personal sales and marketing goals, develop plan to achieve interpersonal skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Oral and written communication skills
Abilities
• Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts
• Ability to collaborate with co-workers and customer representatives to identify appropriate customer strategies
• Ability to prospect for new business, cold calling, and lead development
• Ability to network within a given market to find business activity, decision makers, and influencers to create demand for Company products and services
• Ability to obtain meetings, create credible value proposition, and develop rapport with new and existing clients
• Proven success in prospecting, selling to customer needs, sales planning, and closing skills required.
• Successful candidate will possess a successful sales history.
