Our client is looking for a Marketing Executive in Bapsfontein, Gauteng

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The key purpose of the position is to ensure that the businesses marketing objectives are achieved within budget and maintaining a consistent Business Unit image. Yet still fluid and cross sectioned and coupled as required.

 

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Marketing Executive will report to the CEO

The following subordinates will report directly to the Marketing Executive if applicable.

•             Marketing/Advertising Assistant Manager

•             Admin Assistant

 

KEY STAKEHOLDERS

The Marketing Executive will manage the relationship with the following stakeholders: -

•             Business staff

•             Operations Management

•             Business General Managers

•             Merchandise staff

•             Internal suppliers

•             External suppliers

 

KEY TASKS (INPUTS)

The following tasks are the responsibility and accountability of the Marketing Executive: -

•             Ensure brand identity is maintained according to strategy

•             Ensure all material that is created is within set standards

•             Check and authorise all elements that project the brand identity

•             Conduct store audits in accordance with marketing checklist

•             Communicate and share brand identity to the business units effectively

•             Develop an effective marketing strategy within a budget

•             Produce a yearly marketing plan that will best assist the brand to grow new and retain existing customers within business objectives

•             Develop marketing budget in line with Business Units objectives

•             Present plan at brand audit and obtain approval

•             Develop tactics to implement the plan and prepare short term plans in strategic reviews

•             Manage and control implementation processes

•             Measure effectiveness of each campaign

•             Report back and make recommendations to directors for corrective action

•             Conduct store audits in accordance with a marketing checklist

•             Monitor monthly marketing budget to ensure adherence

•             Maintain and grow brand equity

•             Communicate and share marketing strategy to the business unit effectively

•             Ensure brand marketing objectives are in line with market trends and customer profile

•             Keep informed of changing customer profile

•             Research market trends and customer profiles

•             Review market trends internally and externally

•             Review marketing strategy where necessary to ensure business unit objectives remain attainable

•             Maintain correct brand positioning in context of the competitor environment

•             Keep informed of competitor activity

•             Conduct competitor audits

•             Review marketing strategy where necessary to ensure business unit objectives remain attainable

•             Make creative recommendations to strive to become leaders within the competitor environment

•             Human Capital Management

•             Train and develop marketing staff according to set individual development plans

•             In conjunction with HR, develop a succession plan for marketing

•             Constant follow up and feedback on progress of all marketing activity

•             Manage and implement Global Access system on behalf of the Business Unit (Beares)
