Marketing Internship at Corteva - Centurion

Candidates MUST live in Centurion.

Job Purpose:

To set up and run a permanent Digital & Mapping Centre that will offer analytical decision support, CRM support and Sales Promotor follow-up support to AME.

The Digital & Mapping Centre would involve training a team of 2-3 contract workers at any given time, to ensure continuity of skills and projects in the context of continuous turnover of employees.

To do a large amount of mapping work (capturing crop potentials in the finest details, overlaying points of sale) to enable sales coverage and related demand generation analysis to be done,

The basic duties would be to:

1) Capture Crop and POS data
2) Clean-up of excel data sheets to be ready for use for mapping work
3) Generate layered maps showing the above.
4) Analysis of sales data and demand generation activities
5) Upkeep of dashboards and sales execution project documents to enable efficient management of the team of TSR’s and contract promoters in AME.
6) Various other Commercial Effectiveness activities’ support (Sales Team Development, Territory Planning, Competency Assessment admin, etc)

Skills/Experience needed:

1) Analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail
2) Microsoft Excel basics
3) Basic computer literacy
4) Communication skills to interact with colleagues from the rest of Africa
5) Organizing ability – setting up meetings and keeping minutes in excel
6) Ability to learn the ARC-GIS mapping software program, to create maps
7) Awareness of Africa and agriculture would be an added advantage, in terms of understanding the context of mapping work, knowledge about the different geographies/towns etc.
8) Eagerness to learn and to grow
9) Transferring acquired skills to any new team members that might be onboarded.
