The Marketing Manager is a new role within a stable and well run non-profit organisation. They are looking for a qualified and experienced Marketing Manager who has the skills and experience to assist the Fundraising Manager with marketing, branding and events promotions. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded marketing manager with the required skills to promote and market the organisation brand to the public. This role will report directly to the CEO. Please note: This is an Employment Equity position.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• A relevant degree – Marketing Degree / or Business Commercial with Marketing specialisation is essential
• Must have successfully operated in a quality business for at least 4-6 years in a relevant marketing management role
• Experienced and skilled in latest marketing trends and platforms. Social media, Digital marketing etc.
• Good understanding and skill in Branding and Brand Management

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE/GENERAL OVERVIEW:
As Marketing Manager your key role will be to elevate brand presence in Cape Town. Develop high impact and effective, campaigns and promotions that grow brand awareness.

• Lead and develop a Marketing Strategy and team to achieve defined business objectives
• Responsible for forecasting, development, execution, and performance of all initiatives
• Manage, implement and evaluate promotions to achieve maximum returns
• Manage, develop strategy, direct and coordinate Marketing Team.
• Formulation of merchandising strategies (space, location, branding, fixtures, visual merchandising)
• Development of marketing calendars
• Manage the marketing budget
• Management of corporate and public events
• Interact with the creative process to help drive and meet deadlines
• Produce detailed timing schedules and critical paths
• Sourcing of new suppliers and negotiation of discounts with regards to branded items
• Keeping up with technology and suggesting alternative solutions
• Ability to work in collaboration with other departments
• Understanding of competitor and market dynamics
• Segmentation, evaluation of existing NPO environment
