RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified MARKETING MANAGER (LIVE-IN) for a large Drakensberg Resort.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Qualification in Marketing an added advantage.
Computer literate (MS Office, Email / Internet) and OPERA Property Management System.
Competent in English (read, write and speak). Afrikaans an added advantage.
5yrs+ previous experience in hospitality / marketing position.
Control and administer website, update rates and specials, ensure that information/rates on website are current and accurate.
Keep up to date with updates and postings on Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn, TripAdvisor and other online mediums, administer news, specials, photographs, etc.
Manage all internet and electronic marketing of the Hotel, create and distribute newsletter, create and distribute flyers to advertise specials.
Identify relevant trade shows to attend, liaise with event organisers regarding stands, booking appointments with potential clients and necessary follow up to nurture business relationships.
Control and administer STO contracts based on level of return business, keep STO register up-to-date, monitor all rates given to STO’s.
Identify potential areas for advertising – print, online, radio and TV, etc. Investigate costing, liaise with printers regarding designs, ensure payments are made via Accounts Department.
Manage all special requests, ensure approval obtained from Proprietors or General Manager and liaise with clients.
Generate and manage annual calendar of marketing events, adverts, shows etc. proposed for the year.
Manage all sponsorship requests and prize issues ensuring maximum exposure for the concern.
Generate statistic reports, forecasting, etc.
Manage internal database updates, amendments, additions, etc.
Ensure sufficient printing stock is ordered; liaise with Department Heads regarding their printing needs, plan seasonal printing to ensure all is completed on time, design and print menus, programmes, etc for peak season.
Manage marketing team – support, assist, train where necessary.
Be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes to initiate services/rates as appropriate.
Update manual, set rate increases, etc.
Undertake on the road marketing when required.
Promote the concern and its services by means of editorial, newsletters, monthly e-news, expo’s, etc.
Assist site inspections and when required.

Salary offered: R10 000-00 – R15 000-00 per month (CTC) (live-in)
