Responsibilities
• Drive National strategic direction and implementation for the brand in line with SA brand strategy
• Set and manage budget splits in line with SA brand strategy and life-stage
• Identify brand innovation and product development opportunities by region
• Ensure alignment with central guidelines; customise creative material where required
• Understand and develop ATL, BTL and TTL brand plans through: Market Analysis, Strategic objectives, Media plan (including digital), PR Plan
• Develop and implement: Trade Channel strategies and relevant POS, Impactful consumer promotions Cycles
• Plan and ensure implementation of: Events, Trade shows
• Share market implementation
• Drive Brand Review sessions
• Brand performance management
• Drive measurement of implementation effectiveness
• Manage work partner agreements and deliverables
• Strong Agency experience

o The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
• Appropriate tertiary qualification - degree/diploma
• Minimum 5 years FMCG marketing and brand experience
• Good analytical planning skills and attention to detail in complex scenarios essential
• Trade marketing experience will be an advantage
• Good stakeholder relations and communication skills
• Computer literacy - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP
• Sound presentation, negotiation and time management skills
• Proven strategy development experience
• Experience of agency procedures and the successful management thereof
• Budgetary control and cost control management
• High Level knowledge of the NPD process
• Excellent people management, communication and interpersonal skills and experience
• Good knowledge of FMCG Channels
• Displays high levels of energy and passion for the job

National Account/Channel Manager (Modern Trade):
• Manage the Modern Trade Channel(Retail).
• Implement Sales plans for each year in line with business medium term strategy.
• Achieve value and volume sales profitably across all brands and channels in accordance with agreed targets.
• Achieve agreed ROI on sales spend, trade promotions and deals.
• Manage product, customer, SKU, region/area profitability.
• Negotiate mutually beneficial trading terms as agreed with the Head of Sales.
• Manage In-store promoters, third party sales agents and distributors and ensure that they achieve their agreed deliverables.
• Support Finance/Debtors as required to manage recoveries within credit terms.
• Develop Sales forecasts per customer, category, SKU and region.
• Ensure store level implementation for categories.
• Resolution of complaints and settlement of claims.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and successfully increase customer base.
• Ensure listing of products.

o The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
• Preferably have tertiary qualification.
• Relevant experience of at least 5 years as Key Accounts Manager with a demonstrable track record of significant achievements.
• Excellent trade relationships across the Modern Trade(Retail) Channel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision making skills.
• Possess initiative.
• Commercially astute.
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
