Marketing Manager - Durban
Applicants should be/have:
Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
Qualification in Marketing (graphic design skills appreciated as well).
Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
At least five years marketing experience.
Must have a high regard for good customer service.
Experience with Expo preparation and planning – an advantage.
Good communication skills in English – both written and verbal.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office – word and excel.
Experienced with PowerPoint and excellent presentation skills.
Experience in the manufacturing sector – an advantage.
Sound administrative abilities.
Good attention to detail.
Well organised and systematic.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Design effective marketing strategies that will generate quality leads and significant brand awareness for the business. Manage the implementation of these strategies effectively.
Design and construct the marketing budget for the financial year ahead.
Manage this budget on a monthly and quarterly basis, to ensure spending remains within the planned expenditure.
Regularly consult with the directors and Executive Leadership Team about their marketing needs and ideas,
propose adjustments and execute accordingly.
Prepare quarterly reports of all marketing endeavours, showcasing our digital performance, lead generation, budget management and present these reports to the Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
Oversee the creation of effective graphic design work and approve before final execution.
Strategically decide the most effective print media to advertise in, and oversee the graphic design of their subsequent advertisements and necessary copy
Strategically identify the most effective mainstream and above the line advertising media, such as TV, Radio, outdoor media etc. and oversee the execution accordingly
Assist in the creation of these above press releases and oversee their final execution by the copywriter and PR agent.
Identify the key trade & industry exhibitions in a calendar year. Plan the execution of the attendance to exhibitions, including stand design, demonstration & promotional materials.
Ensure the internal brand of the company is effectively portrayed and supported – this includes effective business card management, vehicle branding, building signage, internal branding, staff uniforms, etc.
Oversee, strategise and manage the digital footprint of the company, ensuring the company has the strongest presence possible and is effectively reaching its potential audience through the various digital channels.
Identify key clientele within the relevant industries and create effective events catered for these clienteles.
Effectively manage all staff within the marketing department, ensuring they are performing their duties adequately,
and ensuring staff morale and department culture remains at high levels.
Basic salary: R45 000.00 to R50 0000.00 depending on experience and qualification.
