Key performance areas:
? Provide input into the development and interpretation of the Company marketing strategy, that supports brand promise, brand vision, brand position, brand architecture and achieves overall business goals for the brand.
? Communicate and drives the implementation of the marketing strategy.
? Manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders both internally and externally.
? Manage the marketing processes and systems in accordance with best practice within the Company.
? Develop and manage the promotional calendar to deliver brand and product requirements.
? Manage the advertising function and resources, by briefing and managing agency creative and production processes, managing supplier relationships to leverage the agency contribution to our marketing function.
? Effective financial administration and budget control to manage the budget.
? Ensuring the merchandise strategy is accurately portrayed through effectively involving key stakeholders (i.e. trading, visual merchandising and store operations).
? To develop and implement the seasonal visual merchandising strategy.
? Responsible for the successful management of digital strategy which requires an innovator, a trendsetter, a progressive thinker who can connect digital and social media.
? Managing the delivery of the Public Relations plan.
? To evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed.
? Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
The successful candidate must have:
? Matric with relevant Communications/Marketing Degree or Diploma
? Experience of at least 3 years should have been in marketing national and international branded products (either footwear or apparel)
? A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a marketing role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience at a senior management level in an Advertising or Marketing role, which specifically includes responsibility for the formulation and execution of the communications strategy, strong customer relations, visual merchandising and branding knowledge as well as exposure to retail.
? Comprehension of marketing strategies, branding, customer behaviour and principles relevant to retailing and experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives.
? Practical grasp of the South African advertising and media industry.
? Proven experience and capabilities relating to public relations; developing and managing advertising campaigns and digital marketing.
? Proven experience in the leadership of a professional team.
? Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent negotiation skills.
? Strong creative judgement and the ability to drive and achieve results across teams and within a complex environment.
? Must have a valid driver’s license
