Job Description:
Marketing Manager
Responsible to drive and implement niche marketing initiatives aligned to Attractions strategy. Building and managing of media relations as well as operational planning, project management and implementation of the niche marketing campaigns
Management and delivery of the day to day marketing activity for the Attraction in line with the Board approved marketing strategy
Management of the Attraction databse and the targeted use thereof
Contribution to the creative process including creative brief, development and delivery of all marketing, communications, social media and website content
Development of out the box campaigns to drive awareness of the attraction
Develpment, implementation and measurement of digital marketing campaigns
Implementation of online reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of the Attractions online presence e.g. Google Analytics
Tracking alll marketing campaings against pre-determined targets to measure the return on investment
Management and coordination of the Attractions communications plan to ensure that all communications are delivered on time to the correct audience
Ensure that all marketing related communications are carried out in line with the Attractions overall brand guidelines
OVersee the design, printing etc of relevant marketing materials and publications
Management and attendance of relevant industry expos such as Indaba, Getaway Show etc.
Development of relationships with all internal stakeholders, including Board of Directors, General Manager and staff, ensuring all parties are working towards a common goal
Development of strategic partnerships and joint ventures with stakeholders that strengthen the Attractions visibility and position in the market
Development of relationships with other attractions, tour operators, travel and conference related associations
Management of external service providers such as PR agencies, website hosting companies
Coordination of special events at Attraction and elsewhere
Preparation of monthly marketing report detailing the key achievements, activities undertaken and future initiatives
Preparation and management of annual marketing budget
Communication / Marketing qualification
3 years experience in Marketing and Advertising industry (tourism an advantage)
Digital and Social media experience is essential
Computer literate
Must have own transport and a Valid drivers licence
