ROLE PURPOSE

Drive to continuously improve excellence in Regional sales & marketing capabilities
Support the development, design and adjustment of group trade marketing strategies
Embed CRM, Salesforce Management, Campaign & A&P across the Region
On occasions, project manage cross functional initiatives with the aim of improving capabilities with visible impact on sales delivery in the short/mid term

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in agriculture and / or business
Skill set to train and coach people
Experienced in leading cross functional projects
Excellent communication skills & stakeholder management
Proven successful project management record
Strategic & analytical thinking
5 yrs work experience
Understanding of AME and African context
Fluent English & good SWAHILI is an asset

Improving the capabilities of sales professionals through training and implementation of local coaching
Embedding selling and presenting skills through consistent application in campaigns, crop training and coaching
Helping sales management to improve their coaching abilities (by coaching the right people, timing and frequency and using coaching techniques – such as the Grow model).
KAM: Development of content, processes, training and embedding of KAM skills across the CU’s.
Periodic review of sales force design and resources to ensure optimum delivery of strategy .
Support the development and implementation of compensation models to ensure desired behaviours of sales force is aligned with sales objectives.



Growers & Influencer Management: Drive the adoption of grower-centric trade marketing strategies through …
Supporting CU’s to implement actionable segmentation.
Uncovering grower and influencer needs and insights through analysis and workshops.
Ensuring that key messages about offers are compelling and resonate with each target segment.
Maximizing the delivery of our messages to growers and influencers through the proper choice and use of touchpoints.
Test and successfully implement grower/influence programmes (e.g. REAP, Track & Trace etc.)

Seek and import best practices which will improve effectiveness with channel elements and route to the end user (distributor, resellers, retailers and agents).
