Amazing opportunity for a MRP within a Manufacturing company based on the West rand of JHB. Maintain inventory of supplies and stock by receiving, storing, distribution and effective planning thereof.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• Oversee stock control and processing receiving goods
• Keeping stock system up to date and planning future capacity requirements
• Ensure time, quality and delivery objectives are met
• Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Perform regular cycle counts
• Perform full stock counts
• Investigate and correct any discrepancy between stock counted and stock on system
• Calculate required material against production plan (MRP)
• Determine stock levels and maintain stock records
• Inform Sourcing Manager directly if shortage, problem or discrepancy is found
• Record shortages and reject damaged items
• Keep careful, accurate and detailed records
• Ensure that all high value items are safe (locked away) at all times
• Ensure good housekeeping in stores
• Control, plan and report expired stock
• Provide administrative support
• Implement inventory techniques, maintain warehouse by organising floor space, adhere to storage design principles and recommend improvements
• Ensure that the warehouse meets OHS regulations at all times.

EDUCATION:

• Grade 12 (minimum)
• Appropriate Tertiary Diploma/Degree

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar job.
• Technical acumen
